The ATA Comp Fund team is growing again!
The ATA Comp Fund is pleased to announce the hiring of Barbara Evans as Underwriting & Auditing Manager effective June 27, 2022.
Barbara will be responsible for underwriting growth and profitability goals, as well as managing department’s operations, including risk assessment, financial analysis, quality control, strategic planning, and compliance. She will also be responsible for the training and professional development of underwriting and audit staff and will serve as a technical resource on complex underwriting projects.
ATA Comp Fund Chief Operating Officer, Todd Hager, comments, “Barbara’s extensive background in the insurance industry, specifically her 25+ years focused on workers’ compensation underwriting, will be an important asset to our team. Her addition to our staff will play a major role in the expansion of our programs and operations.”
Prior to joining the Fund, Barbara worked in captive and independent insurance agencies, managing general agencies, and with a program administrator providing an exclusive workers’ compensation program to business owners through independent insurance agents in the Southeast. Barbara’s workers’ compensation expertise includes positions as Sr. Underwriter, Chief Underwriting Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Barbara maintains a resident insurance producer license in Alabama and non-resident licenses in 10 other Southern states. She serves on the Alabama Department of Insurance Industry Advisory Committee and has been a member of and served on various committees with state and national insurance associations.
